I too have seen this show and it is sad to see the people struggle with all these posessions in their lives. Often the person will be an active member of the community and they hide the hoarding from coworkers and friends. It seems they usually have suffered a great loss that they never get over and somehow it leads to this struggle. I think the shame they feel about letting things get so out of control also hinders many of them from getting professional and family help. I think it is good for society to see shows like this. I know I never thought about it before but now I have compassion for these people and I would definitely not be judgemental. Before, I might have just dismissed the hoarders as "crazy". Another show by the name of "Obsessed" shines the light on OCD. This show focuses on people struggling with rituals. These are positive reality shows in my opinion... I find them facinating.</description>
