Homosexuality Marriage
I don’t believe that the government should legalize same sex marriage because I don’t think it’s okay for same sex couples to show their affection in public. I personally don’t have a problem with same sex couple but I don’t approve of their lifestyles. Sociologically speaking, it would be right to accept it because it is considered taboo and forbidden. If we were to accept things that are taboo, we would then legalize marijuana. Homosexuality is also frowned upon in the Bible and our government was based on Christian beliefs so why would we go against it? In addition, if we legalized homosexuality in America, it would cause a lot of problems in the society due to that fact that many people still do not approve of same sex relationships. I believe that majority rules and I think most people would vote not to legalize same sex marriage. In contrast, I do believe the freedom of ones’ right but we must also consider order and how would it affect the majority of America. How would America be like if we legalize same sex marriages? How would you feel if you child saw the same sex kissing in public? These are factors we must consider and not think of what is right for ourselves, but we must think what is right for our country.
