I know some of them will not operate while the vehicle is in motion (rendering them pretty much useless) while others use verbal directions to try to reduce the distraction. A friend of mine was texting while she was driving the other day and was not paying attention to the road and she hit a tree. She was not seriously injured, she did get the nissan emblame imprinted on her arm. Im not sure if its a premanet scare but for the time being it is a remider to her and all of us to not text and drive. I agree that we need harsher prunishments.
