Save the Earth,Cammesha Moody(Edison)
It’s not hard to imagine the world coming to an end with all the damage that is caused to our planet Earth.
Global warming is becoming a major issue more and more everyday!
Life sustaining systems of Earth are breaking down because of human civilzation and consumption.
One of society’s main consumptions involves the resource known as oil.
Oil is essentially ancient sunlight and a finite source that we are running out of.
Oil has come from plants that fossilized in the ground. The fossilized plants produced fuel:oil and coal
Oil is the Earth’s battery Pack and we are running out of the very source we need to continue to live the lives that we want.
Our society needs to support new ways of creating new energy to help our Earth last longer. If we continue to consume all of our most important resource there will no longer be a planet called Earth.
Fact: Our burning of fossil fuels has caused 700 billion tons of carbon pollution.
Fact: The Earth’s temperature is steadily increasing, due to the trapped heat in the atmosphere.
The 90’s are known to have had the highest temperatures of any decade with only an increase of 1degree. It only took a 4% degrees to come out of the last ice age.
The Earth is experiencing drastic weath changes.
- Rising sea levels,
- out of control storms,
- chunks of ice brreaking off of Antarctica
- flooding of cities
- coral reefs bleaching out and dying
As long as people continue to consume all the essentials of Earth, the Earth will continue to become a harsher place to live. There must be and end to unnecessary activities which are ruining our planet. If no changes are made, there will definately be an end to our lives on Earth.
