Abotion is a right that each american women has, and untill they outlaw it, it will be a choice that many pregnant women choose. It does not have to be a rape vivctim for it to be understandable to have an abortion. You say that their are plenty of people willing to take care of a child if they are born but where are these people? Why does their remain to be orphas right here in the United States. According to www.myorphanage.org/america/usa/index.php their are 75,890 children living in these "group homes". If you dont allow the choice of an abortion this number would only increase. Not to mention that a large majority of women that have an abortion are young and unfit to raise a child. Without the proper recources its not fair to try and raise a child at 17 years old, with no father, real home, or sufficient income.
