<description>Education is a major factor in teaching wrong and right to a child, regardless of if it comes from parents or society, but the bottom line in creating a well-adjusted adult is not only spending time with children, it's taking a genuine interest in thier lives. Children need guidance from adults who really listen to them, not only hear them, but sincerely listen and let them know that what they say and how they feel is truely important. Do most parent's know the names of their children's friends in school or what about the name of thier fifth period teacher, oh, and what subject is it? Society gives us guidelines that are directed and instituted by parents at home, but if a child feels that what is going on thier lives has little importantance at home, they are only led to the attitude of; who cares? Nobody else does, so, why should I?

<description>One alternative theory to the "nature vs. nurture" question suggests that there is a "social gene (or set of genes)" that genetically determine the degree of influence our environment will play in shaping our behavior. This would explain what we empirically see as the variances; from "What did we do wrong?" to "She is her mother's daughter".
