Brooke Gonnelly (Edison) Abortion
For the record I am pro-choice I feel that a woman should be able to control her own body. People fighting for pro-life have one major goal in mind. This is giving equal protection under law to all living humans from the time their biological life begins at conception until natural death. Pro-choice believes that the fetus is not a human it is a mass of tissue. That statement is argued back and forth between both groups. Many groups and activists say that contraception will do the trick with unwanted births but Planned Parenthood reported that 60% of woman coming in for abortions used some form of contraception because they did not want a child. Pro-Life people believe that even if the woman was raped or there was incest it is still no excuse for abortion. Can we come to a middle of the road agreement? Pro-Life people wont even budge on the rape and incest cases and Pro-Choice people wont budge on forbidding abortion in the 3rd trimester even for sex selection. Both sides have their faults but it comes down to one thing, it is a womans own body and she has the right to do what she wants with it.
