Jessica Browning (FGCU): Exercise can take you farther than you think
As I was interested in reading an article from The New York Times, about Exercising and its’ benefits, there is more than you think. Exercise does not only help you lose weight but it boosts your mood, lowers your cholesterol/blood pressure. With just a simple 20-30 minute walk a day can reduce your risk for being diagnosed with diabetes. You could even manage it, for instance, walk 10 minutes then rest and walk 15 more minutes later on in the day. It was even stated in the article that it is shown proven that the hard workers actually end up losing less weight than the people who moderately work out. Heart disease, colon, and breast cancer are also minimized effects from exercising regularly. I think its’ kind of funny that one 20 minute walk could prevent such horrible defects to one life. After reading that article, it makes me open my eyes to new priorities.
