People have a number of rights that are inherent to them as human beings. This is a list we all know, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to die should be added to this list. Committing suicide is not a weakness; it is a choice that should be open to those who wish to embark upon it. You cannot claim it to be a cowardly action when it is neither a brave nor cowardly action; it is the means to an end.

A number of societies have embraced ritualistic suicide as an honorable way to end one's life. There is no shame in doing so, a person is not crazy for no longer wishing to live and the societies that embrace this are among the most stable.

Look at it from a purely logical standpoint; suicide reduces the burden on taxpayers as many who would attempt it are in poor financial situations or elderly. It opens up new areas for expansion in the workforce; as if a person is depressed enough to kill themselves their productivity is down, assuming a happy worker is a productive worker. Given these two factors, the only negative is the trauma felt be the family member that finds the body, assuming there is one.
